Job Title: Job Captain

Industry: Architectural Design

OVERVIEW:

As a Job Captain in the architectural industry, you will play a pivotal role in the design and construction process, ensuring that projects are completed successfully and efficiently. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and proficiency in Revit software. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients to translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Coordination: - Act as a primary point of contact for assigned projects, coordinating with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution from concept to completion.

2. Design Development: - Assist in the development and refinement of design concepts, generating detailed drawings, renderings, and models using Revit software. Ensure that designs meet client requirements, building codes, and industry standards.

3. Documentation: - Prepare and manage construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

4. Revit Expertise: - Utilize advanced features of Revit software to create and modify building models, families, and components. Train and mentor team members on Revit best practices and techniques.

5. Technical Support: - Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, resolving design and documentation issues as they arise. Collaborate with engineers and consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into architectural designs.

6. Quality Control: - Conduct regular reviews of project documentation to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to established standards. Identify and address any discrepancies or errors in drawings and specifications.

7. Construction Administration: - Assist in the administration of construction contracts, reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and conducting site visits as needed. Resolve construction-related issues and facilitate communication between the design team and contractors.

8. Client Communication: - Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of project progress, milestones, and any changes or challenges encountered. Address client feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

· 3 years of experience working in an architectural firm, with a focus on project coordination and documentation.

· Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software, with demonstrated experience in creating complex building models and construction drawings.

· Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction techniques.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Architectural license or pursuit of licensure preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
